Description

The Powerline™ catheter by Biosensors is a rapid-exchange catheter designed for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) during the pre-dilation stage. It consists of a catheter shaft and a semi-compliant balloon.

The catheter shaft contains one lumen for balloon inflation and deflation, and a second lumen, which opens approximately 20 cm proximal to the balloon, designed for guiding the coronary wire. The coronary wire diameter must not exceed 0.014". The balloon features two radiopaque markers (distal and proximal) for precise positioning. As pressure increases, the balloon's diameter expands according to the compliance chart.

The balloon inflation pressure to reach its nominal diameter is 6 atm.
At the proximal end of the dilation catheter, there is a Luer connector for attaching an inflation device.

The catheter includes two markers located at 90 cm and 100 cm from the distal tip.
