1989 September Establishment of Asahi Intecc Thailand Co., Ltd. (currently a wholly-owned overseas subsidiary) in Thailand as an overseas production base to improve cost competitiveness.
1991 February Opening of the Medical Development Headquarters to begin research and development of medical devices. October Completion and operation of the Seto Medical Factory (a company licensed to manufacture medical devices) (Seto, Aichi Prefecture); relocated the head office to the same location for business reasons.
1992 March Approved as a medical device manufacturer by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan (now the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) (current license number: 23BZ0510). Successfully commercialized the first PTCA guide catheters and guidewires in Japan for the treatment of myocardial infarction.

November Seto Medical Factory authorized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan (now the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) to import and sell medical devices (license number: 23BY0071).
1998 May Absorption-type merger with Intertect Co., Ltd. (a stainless steel rope processing company established in October 1989). September PTCA guidewires obtain CE certification under EU quality standards.
1999 June Absorption-type merger with Asahi Mini Rope Sales Co., Ltd. (a company manufacturing ultra-fine stainless steel ropes, established in April 1972).
2000 October Change of registered head office address to Moriyama-ku, Nagoya. Opening of the U.S. Medical Division office in California, USA (converted into Asahi Intecc Group USA, Inc., a local company, in July 2004 (a wholly-owned consolidated subsidiary)).
2001 December Completion and start of operations of a specialized medical factory of Asahi Intecc Thailand Co., Ltd.
2002 August Start of collaboration with DongGuan Shilong Asahi Precision Steel Wire Manufacturing Plant in China for production of final products (consignment plant) (closed in June 2010). November Opening of Kobe Research Center (Chuo-ku, Kobe) for developing delivery devices for various cells (for regenerative medicine) (closed in June 2006).

2005 June Listing on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Second Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange. September Establishment of Asahi Intecc Hanoi Co., Ltd. in Vietnam (a 100% consolidated subsidiary) as a second overseas production base.
2006 March Opening of a representative office in Singapore (converted into a branch in Singapore in August 2009). Establishment of CompassMed Integration Co., Ltd. (now Asahi Intecc J-sales, Inc.) (a wholly-owned consolidated subsidiary) in Shinjuku, Tokyo, to strengthen sales of medical devices. July Establishment of the Osaka Research and Development Center in Izumi, Osaka, as a center for material research and advanced next-generation medical device development.
2007 October Introduction of a new logo to promote the Asahi brand worldwide.

2010 January Acquisition of GMA Co., Ltd. in Fukuroi, Shizuoka, to become a wholly-owned consolidated subsidiary to strengthen polymer technologies. July Renamed GMA Co., Ltd. to Asahi Intecc GMA Co., Ltd. (acquired by Asahi Intecc Co., Ltd. in October 2013).
2011 November Establishment of Asahi Intec Scientific (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (a 100% consolidated subsidiary) as a business base for the Chinese market (business license obtained in March 2013).
2013 July Opened a branch in the Middle East. September Acquired all shares of Toyoflex Co., Ltd. (now in Shinjuku, Tokyo), making Toyoflex Co., Ltd. and Toyoflex Cebu Corporation fully consolidated subsidiaries, as well as Toyoflex (HK) Co., Limited, and Toyo Precision Industry (Huizhou) Limited, which became unconsolidated subsidiaries.
2014 January Opened a branch in India.
2015 January Opened a branch in Korea. May Made YK Meisen (Kishiwada City, Osaka) a 100% consolidated subsidiary and absorbed the company via merger on the same day to enhance stainless steel processing technologies. June Transferred the unconsolidated subsidiaries Toyoflex (HK) Co., Limited, and Toyo Precision Industry (Huizhou) Limited.
2017 January Establishment of Asahi Intecc Latin Ltda (a 100% consolidated subsidiary) as a business base for the Central and South American markets. August Acquired Nihon Chemical Coat Co., Ltd. in Sagamihara, Kanagawa, to become a wholly-owned subsidiary to strengthen resin coating technology.
2018 July Established the Tohoku Research and Development Center (Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture) as a central base for developing high-precision processing methods, such as casting and injection molding. ASAHI INTECC USA, INC., a consolidated subsidiary of Asahi Intecc, acquired shares of RetroVascular, Inc., which owns plasma energy technology, and made RetroVascular its subsidiary (a subsidiary of Asahi Intecc/consolidated subsidiary).
Acquired Ficas Co., Ltd. (Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture) to make Ficas Co., Ltd. a 100% subsidiary to contribute to society from the perspective of the welfare of people with disabilities. September Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the First Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange. December Established a global headquarters/R&D center (Seto, Aichi Prefecture) to transfer headquarters functions and improve the R&D environment.
